Highway
TO REACH THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT:
Highway Superintendent: Todd Martin 845-266-5853 option 4
The crew has been busy at work keeping our roads safe. Among their daily assignments:
- Dirt Road repairs are continuously ongoing for all the dirt roads in town. The Grader
and the York Rake have been used and additional material has been put down. - The dry conditions and automobiles driving excessive speeds create a pattern of ripples, often
called a washboard. Scarifying the surface and then mixing in new material to reshape
and properly crown the road has been an ongoing project. - Paving – Shoulder work is being done on Mountain View Road to further complete this
year’s major road project. The final step will be to hydro seed those areas at no cost to
the Highway budget because of a grant that was awarded to the Highway Dept.
DRIVEWAY PERMITS:
If you are planning on putting in a driveway, find the forms here: Driveway Application Packet
SCRAP METAL:

Scrap metal: The metal dumpster has been moved into the fenced area, but we are still happily accepting metal. The drop off times will follow the Highway hours.
