The Highway Department maintains and repairs the public roadways. The Town of Clinton has approximately 140 lane miles of road (70 center line miles),
of which 18 miles are dirt roads. The Highway Dept is responsible for snow & ice removal, paving, patching, roadside mowing, roadway drainage,
sign installation and maintenance, street sweeping, guiderail maintenance, debris removal and more. It is the Town’s largest municipal department.
The Highway Department has 9 employees and a secretary.

SCRAP METAL:

Scrap metal: The metal dumpster has been moved into the fenced area, but we are still happily accepting metal. The drop off times will follow the Highway hours.
